She washed me:
canoodling with her stitching works in progress
messing with her finished and framed stitching
messing with her books
And still she says she loves me, so all my efforts to irritate her were in vain.

Here you see me and my tunnel and another one of my favourite things.
I like playthings that are attached to sticks. They dance around above my head and then sometimes when I catch the pink dangly thing around my neck, Mama says I look exactly like Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. I don't know what that means.
Lastly, here's a very special favourite thing, made for me by my Mama's best friend (she's Kisse's mama). I already like her a lot! Which is a good thing, because the Mitten Lady is coming over for a visit tomorrow, so she can tell Kisse all about my gorgeousness!
My Mama says I need to get away from the computer because she has a blog of her own she needs to update. I think she's a bit cranky. She went bonkers with the plant spray today too, you know...
See that? That's a small, silvery thingy that draws thread through fabric. Can you imagine that dangling in front of your nose all the time!
What? What do you mean 'I'm not allowed to do that'? Surely you jest!
Ah well. I guess this means I'm forgiven.
(Mama doesn't have unusually big hands, by the way. I'm just really tiny!)
(Oh, and see that chest hair, Kisse? Not bad for a 14 week old, huh?)
Pantoef is derived from the French word for slipper, Pantoufle (look at my cute paws to see how Mama came up with that one). Now I was born and (so far) raised in The Netherlands, where the humans speak Dutch. I am, however, very good at English because, you know, I'm a Devon Rex cat and Devon is a county in Great Britain and therefore when you read my blog, please do so with a British accent. Er... where was I? Oh right. Dutch. And French and English. Dutch 'oe' sounds like French 'ou' and English 'oo', and therefore, my name is pronounced Pan-TOOF. Not Pantoeuf, not Pantuff, not Pants-off or Pants-on or Pants period. I will make a note of it in my profile, so as not to confuse any other visitors. Pants indeed...
Mama took me to the vet's today. Now that the drinky problem has been solved, I seem to have picked up a stinky problem, PLUS I keep sneezing and coughing a lot and Mama has to clean my eyes a couple of times a day (which I really don't mind at all) and my nose is yucky too. The vet was pretty nice, except I didn't like it when he shoved a thermometer up my bum. He says my stinky, sniffy problems are caused by stress. I can well believe that, because moving from one home to another is quite an undertaking. Not to mention the meeting with the hounds [shiver]! AND the dreadfully hot weather we've been 'enjoying'.
I'm sleepy from my adventures, so I'm going to have a snooze now. Tomorrow I will be back with pictures of my favourite toys and hopefully a close-up shot of my chest hair, as per Kisse's request.
The Man-child is having a bit of trouble getting used to me. Mama says that's because he's a special child. When I confronted her and told her that I thought I was a special cat, she said that's a whole nuther type of special. Well, I think she should just make up her mind about that. Anyway, the Man-child isn't too happy about having to share the stage with such a cutie patootie as myself, but Mama assures me all will be well. I believe her. She's been right about things so far!
Although... she's not been right, and will never be right about drinky container issues around here. She thinks it is okay for me to drink out of a bowl that looks like a freaking pond. Every time I put my nose in there I'm scared some frog will jump out and bite me, especially after I heard Mama say there are a lot of frogs about in the house!!! I didn't know about that. She says they're a special kind of frogs. She has special kinds of everything! I understand they interfere with her thread-playing time. Do you know anything about these special frogs?
Before you start worrying about my water intake, Mama and I have come to an understanding. I've agreed to drink water from one of her fancy coffee cups, if she gets me a pet fountain as soon as she can.
Behold the pond:
This is the situation now:Oh, before I go to bed, I wanted to thank you for the very warm welcome you all gave me! I really like to blog, you know, so it's nice to know there are fellow cats and even humans who are following my adventures! I'm off to bed soon. Let's just hope I won't dream of those evil hounds!
Anyway. They're not bad people. They're really quite friendly. Mama talks to me all the time and picks me up and makes me purr really loud. She smells really nice too. She says that smell is called 'coffee'. I tried some, but I think it smells better than it tastes. Oh, and Mama also likes to play with threads, just like I do! Only her threads are too thin to hold any interest for me, but I like that she knows where I'm coming from when I'm chasing my cords and threads. The man-child is very sweet. He let me sleep on his lap yesterday and only got up after he'd asked mama to pick me up, because he didn't want to wake me. I wasn't asleep, but still. That was very thoughtful of him.
My first night away from my old home was not bad at all. Just to make sure mama knows where we stand, I slipped into her bed last night before she did and I got to sleep right next to her all through the night! Me likey...
This morning, when mama was preparing the man-child's breakfast, I was told to get my furry behind off of the kitchen counter, which I didn't get at all. I'll find my way around that one. Also, she needs to find me another container for my drinky. No way am I going to drink water from a commonplace ceramic bowl. I'm staunchly refusing to drink water until she finds me a decent cat fountain. Tsk. Humans...
I'm off to play with my mittens some more and then I will sneak into Mama's bedroom before she changes her mind and puts me in my cat bed!
