Back from away

My, haven't I been away for a long time? Blame Mama. She carted me off to the north of the country for a holiday. I now know I don't much care for holidays. We went with a whole bunch of humans (people Mama calls Mama -- yeah, I found that a bit confusing as well --, Papa, DB and SIL. And the Man Child, of course). Well, by the looks and sounds of it, they had a whale of a time, but they didn't give me half as much attention as I think I deserve. Oooh, one fabulous thing, though: the cottage we were in turned out to be infested with mice! That was really thoughtful of Mama's Mama and Papa, to rent a cottage that had some perks for me as well.

Well, I'm back in the little cottage in the woods, filling my days with exploring the place some more. I've now discovered the book cases (perfect climbing opportunities there) and the stitchy things hanging on the walls. Mama keeps handling the plant spray, and she is finally coming to the conclusion that I actually enjoy being sprayed and if she wants to punish me she will have to think of other, more effective ways. She's a little slow on the uptake, Mama is...

Mama is constantly complaining about the hot weather and telling me she wishes she could start preparing for Halloween. I didn't know what that was, but I did some research on the internet and found that creatures of my ilk are oftentimes associated with that holiday. I've decided to follow a course on witchy cat-ism and here's how I'm progressing:

Practice makes perfect, what?
